February 5th


This tile is for SuzyMosh Creations That's New To Me weekly challenge. This week we were given the random letter "M".  I chose three "New To Me" tangles: Mak-Rah-Mee by CZT Michele Beauchamp, Maylea by Simone Bischoff, and Munchin by Molly Hollibaugh.

February 15 & 16

This tile was inspired by a Joey's Weekly Challenge. The challenge this week is to draw circles, either in a pattern or random, with none overlapping, and each one filled with a different tangle. This tile is for SuzyMosh's  That's New to Me  weekly challenge. This week's random letter was "S". The New-To-Me pattern I selected was Scrumble by Jane Monk CZT.  The second pattern on here is for the group Square One:Purely Zentangle weekly focus. This week's One is Huggins, which is a Zentangle-original tangle pattern from Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas.

March 8 - 14

This first tile has a border of XYP (pronounced zip) which is an Zentangle-Original tangle which was introduced by Maria Thomas.  Inside the border is Unbatz, a tangle by Sandy Hunter CZT. This tile was done for  The DIVA'S Weekly Challenge #207 Taking center stage in this tile is a New-To-Me tangle called Acrosstick by CZT Ed Gucker. It is my entry to  SuzyMosh's Thats New-To-Me-weekly-challenge . This weeks random letter is "A". Day Five

Today we learned about "Sparkle", which is a deliberate space that you leave in a stroke, which is a highlight, another way of enhancing your tangles. The daily tangles today were Isochor and Printemps. We were reminded that we could also use any previously learned patterns when we created our tile. I chose to include Knights Bridge, Nipa and Shattuck. Thank you for visiting. And a very special thank you to those of you who have been leaving comments. They mean a lot, and help keep me motivated. Day Four

The first thing that I completed today was a tile for the new "It''s New to Me" challenge by SuzyMosh Creations . Today's change was to do a TIA with a "new to you" tangle starting with the letter "T".  So I went to Linda's TanglePatterns.com and when I went on the "T" page there was only 1 or 2 that I was at all familiar with. I chose 2 for my tile. The border is done with Trimond by Beth Snoderly, and in the center is Tootle by Jennifer Hohensteiner. The second thing I completed was making a new cabinet for the jewelry I make, but that's a story for a different blog.. LOL.  The next thing that I completed in the way of Zentangle goes what Day Four of the six week course. In keeping with the previous day, I used string #004 and the three daily tangles were Shattuck, Nipa, and Jonqual. Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment.
