One of the first things I did this week, creatively speaking, was this tiny Bijou tile that I did for Joey's  Alphabet Weekly Challenge . This week was the letter "C" and the tangle that was chosen was Cornerz by Didier Gerry.  I'm not really happy with the way it turned out, so I may end up redoing it this weekend.  But I'll post it for now in case you drop by. And on Sunday I finished this one for SuzyMosh's  "That's New to Me" weekly challenge.  This week's random letter was "N" which was a duplicate, so we also had a featured artist, Neil Burley.  For my tile I chose to use Nabu by Neil Burley on a watercolour background. I did this one for a group focus on an original Zentangle called Meer. Thanks for stopping by.  Please let me know you were here.

Happy Monday!  And welcome to a brand new week.  I hope you had the kind of weekend that you hoped to have.  One of the things that I was able to enjoy was a visit with my daughter in her "private sanctuary".  She has done an amazing job of transforming her backyard. What you don't see here is off to the right...her vegetable garden!  What a green thumb!  Artichokes, broccoli, squash, tomatoes, carrots, beans and   so on.  Oh, and she even has a strawberry patch.   Oh... and I used the Rotisserie again. This time to cook a whole, marinated chicken. And OH MY!! It was so yummy! Now for this weekend's ZIA tile.  From Suzy's " That's New to Me!  Weekly Challenge the random letter this week was "R". "R" was  a duplicate,  so we were also challenged to use at least one tangle from the featured artist, who this week was Lily Popcheff.  Aside from that challenge, the focus of the Square One: Purely Zentangle FB Group

I'm going to change things up a bit for this post.  Recently I went on vacation in Arizona.  It was GORGEOUS.  When you go in April, you get to see the desert in bloom.  Here are just a few pictures: The vacation was amazing! Our dearest friends Art and Lisa made it a week we will never forget!  We love you, and we miss you both. We will be back soon! Well, it turns out that at some point during March or April at work, there was a kind drawing that was held as part of an incentive for a goal we reach.  I didn't know it, but each district's manager were ask to submit a few names that they felt really went the extra mile to help the district's success. My manager entered my name! I believe I found out later that I was one of three that was entered for Oregon.  Anyway, my first day back at work I got a call from Corporate congratulating me because my name had been pulled from the fishbowl! Imagine my shock, since I didn't even know there was a drawin
