I think I'm kidding myself about updating this blog every day. Right now I am going to re-focus and try for a more realistic update of each weekend. That way I can post anything that I have done the previous week. In the meantime, today I submitted my tile for the "It's a String Thing" #77 on the Tickled to Tangle blog by Adele Bruno, CZT. Please check out her link either by clicking on the link on the right border of my blog, or click HERE We were to use String #077 by Barbara Finwall, and any or all of the following tangles: Heartrope by Bunny Wright Heartstrings by Helen Williams Heartvine by Lori Howe Luv-a by CZT Sharon Coforio
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you this weekend when I update with the rest of this week's tiles and tangles.
Today's tile is, aside from being a fun way to spend the afternoon and to do a bit of practice shading, was also my submission in response to Square One's One Focus which this week was Quandry. This is done using black Pigma Microns pens, No.2 pencil for shading, and the tangles used are Quandry by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts (founders of Zentangle), Agua by CZT Christina Vandervlist, and Arukas by Molly Hollibaugh.
There are at least 3 more challenges ahead this week... SuzyMosh "That's New to Me", the Wacky Zentangle Weekly Challenge, and of course The DIVA'S Weekly Challenge. Stay tuned to see what I do for those!
Today I was able to combine several challenges at once... SuzyMosh challenge to learn a new tangle with the letter "C", Square One to create a tile using 'Nzeppel, and the new Sting #139 from TanglePatterns.com. I used 2 new tangles that begin with "C", Chard and Cockles 'N Mussels.
Here is another combination tile. Day 9 in the "One Zentangle a Day" course was to make a black Zentangle tile. Well, I didn't have a black tile, but I had some black construction paper so it will have to do. I'm not happy with this, but here is my puzzle. I do like the concept, so I think I will redo it on white. I do want to save up for some black tiles though.. to see what they are like. And I need some tortillions.... I tried to make some. That did not go well at all...LOL
This was day nine that I put in my tangle a day calendar. It was also a tile for one of the weekly challenges I do... It's a String Thing. The string we were assigned was #74, and the…
January 1, 2015 HAPPY NEW YEAR This was that last tile I made for 2014. It kind of reminded me of fireworks. Rick and Maria started Zentangle. To learn about the Zentangle Method please visit their website: Zentangle I am not a CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher), just someone who really enjoys the entire Zentangle experience. I have to admit, though, that I have a dream of attending a CZT Seminar. It's not because I hope to teach, although I would love to volunteer to teach some children, or seniors, or... But I think the experience of a CZT Seminar would be a once in a lifetime event that I would never forget! My birthday is June 21, and this year they have a Seminar that runs from June 21 -24. I hoping that I can come up with ideas to raise the money to attend! Any ideas? Do a Tangle a Day 2015 Now for my challenge. I have set a goal for myself to do at least 1 tangle tile each day throughout the entire year. When I first started tangling this is the book I bought. I still refer to it n…
